Doggie Dash

Join us for the 2nd Annual Doggie Dash 5k and 10k on September 10th, 2016 at Whipple Beach in Baxter. A fun morning for athletes, families and animal-lovers, this 3.1 mile loop and 6.2 mile double-loop begins and ends at scenic Whipple Beach. This race is unique in that dogs are encouraged to run in the 5k.

Bring the family and enjoy the amenities at Whipple Beach as well as concessions. There will be some fun activities for the kids, too, beginning at 9:30. 

All pre-registered participants will receive a free Doggie Dash t-shirt. Registered dogs will receive a bandana.  



Race timing will be provided by Karma Race Management. 

The top male and female finishers in each race will receive a plaque. Medals will be awarded to the top three participants for both males and females in the following age categories: 0-16 years, 17-35 years, 36-49 years, and 50+ years.
 

Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs for the 5k run/walk, with some common-sense precautions.  Dogs must be on a six-foot or less non-retractable leash.  They must be over 6 months old and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Please do not bring a dog that does not get along with other dogs! Runners must be 16 years or older to run with a dog. No exceptions.

Race Day Schedule

8:30 a.m. : Race day registration opens at at Whipple Beach.  Those that are pre-registered can also pick up their bibs and shirt at this time.   

10:00 a.m. : 5k &10k Start

12:00 p.m. : Awards Ceremony 
 

Proceeds from the race will be used to care for the animals at HART, a 501c(3) non-profit shelter also located in Baxter.  Hartpets.org.  

No refunds will be offered.  If you are pre-registered for a t-shirt and can not make the race, shirts will be available after the race at the shelter.
